Happy Halloween

Our two kiddos were in a festive mood and such good troopers. We did our traditional Halloween chili dinner and were joined by Papa Craig (grandma is under the weather). Then, we were off to enjoy trick or treating. Chloe enjoyed her ride in the wagon, watching big brother trick or treat and taking it all in. It will be fun to watch them partake in future Halloweens together. I just couldn't believe how unafraid Mason was going up to spooky houses. His favorite phrase of the night "can I go to the next house?"

Lucy Turns 4

Last Sunday we attended a great party for Lucy Poort. It was a dance class at a place Lucy attends and all of the kids seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. Blake and Mason enjoyed each other's company, as always. And, Chloe and Charlotte sat spectating on the side and playing with one another. All of the kids are a riot to watch.

Fall Pre-school Activities

Mason is loving his pre-school and class, which makes us so happy. Both of his teachers, Christy and Kim, are fantastic, doing several art projects with the kids, teaching them songs, reading all sorts of books and also doing cooking activities.

A few weeks ago, I attended his first pre-school field-trip to Fall City Farms. We learned about bees, got to make our own apple cidar, pick pumpkins and enjoy a hay ride. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Since the weather was so nice the weekend following it, we ventured out there as a family - along with hundreds of other families.

This last Thursday, they had a pumpkin carving night with the dads. The boys had so much fun carving, snacking on pumpkin bars that Mason and his class had made and listening to the class performance.

To the Pumpkin Patch We Go

After making a trip to Fall City Farms for Mason's pre-school trip, we headed back the following Sunday with dad and Chloe (and I think everyone else in Seattle). We couldn't have asked for better weather, but wished the lines would have gone quicker. Luckily, there was a band playing and Mason enjoyed dancing away with the anticipation of getting some sort of drink or fun treat afterward.

I'd highly recommend the farm. The owners are so friendly and it is a very picturesque setting.

Other Fall Pics

October just flew by and we're not sure how. We headed to Spokane the first weekend to watch Andrew's cousin who plays football at NAU play Eastern, meet the newest addition to the Johnsen clan (Drake - born to Mike and Laura), and see our friends the Fehler's, the Lemberg's and my grandma.

It was a quick and busy weekend, but so great to see everyone!
