Mason Turns 3

Mason - How did you get to be so big right before our very eyes? The toddler days are now well behind us - especially with you stating "I will do it myself" so often. You are getting too smart for us, trying to flex your master negotiating skills on bedtime, just "having five more minutes outside," and trying to sometimes test us with things like potty training. Your quick wit and humor triggers laughs from us a lot. Between you and your sister, we have been blessed with some pretty happy, easy-going kids. We love your people skills and your willingness to play with all kids and feel comfortable with different adults. We are anxious to see how that translates when you head off to pre-school in the fall.

We had a blast on your birthday this year, seeing your reaction when you woke up to balloons and presents that morning, and getting phone calls from the family to wish you a happy birthday. Your reaction to the singing and cake at your birthday party was also priceless. :)

It's so much fun to have conversations with you now and every day there is a new statement you make that we just have to laugh at. I need to start writing them down, so we don't forget. How amazing it has been to see you change the last three years and we are so proud of the boy that you have become. We can't believe you are headed to pre-school this fall. Where has the time gone. We all love you very much!!
