The Sams Family: Personalities

It's becoming so fun to observe and watch the personalities of both kids. Mason continues to be our spirited and energetic little guy. His imagination is constantly running and it's so funny to listen to him tell stories or hold a conversation. He also remains very independent, but will many times a day throw out an "I love you mom" and ask to snuggle or give a kiss. We appreciate how he loves to give his sister a kiss goodnight everyday, how he can make her laugh at the drop of a hat, how he has no qualms with going up to people and making friends, and how curious he is about everything (we're in the "why" phase). I'm not sure if it's because she's the second, but Chloe seems a little more laid-back. While I work from home with her on Friday's, she independently plays. She is full of smiles and lots of words like: apple, yeah, ba-ba, night-night, Ellie and Ophie (for Sophie). She is a daddy's girl and loves to cuddle with him, give kisses and lights up when he comes in the room. If she doesn't get her way, she is getting pretty dramatic and feisty. Oh boy, the teenage years will be interesting. Like Mason, she also isn't very shy with people, which we appreciate.

During our recent San Diego trip, we commented that it will be so nice when they are just a little older and able to play together. They are getting better, but each still likes their own toys and don't always want to share.
